did i wake up in bizarro world?

Lemme get this straight...Prince is holed up in Vegas, the the Blue Man Group is out on tour? WTF?

Already home to a hotspot called Rain, Sin City is about to get a dose of Purple Rain.

Prince has announced that he's opening a nightclub in Las Vegas at the Rio Hotel & Casino, where he'll perform Friday and Saturday nights beginning Nov. 10.

3121, named after the diminutive artist's latest album, will occupy a 30,000 square-foot space formerly occupied by Club Rio, which since February 2005 has been hosting the topless revue Club Eroticka.

Well, make way for the immaculately tailored frockcoats! A hotel spokeswoman said that Prince has signed on for an indefinite run.

The dapper performer joins Celine Dion, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Toni Braxton and others who have standing dates in Vegas.

On Wednesdays, 3121 will host concerts by artists signed to Prince's NPG label. The club will be able to hold about 1,500 people, just so long as they're not all partying like it's 1999.

People who have gotten lucky at the blackjack tables, that is. Tickets for the 21-and-over shows featuring the Purple One himself will go for $125 a pop—which actually is a bargain considering you can't get in to see Celine for any less than $80.

Those aching to see Prince up close can start purchasing tickets Thursday.

While all signs are pointing to Vegas right now, the R&B-pop star has still managed to be all over the place. This year he showed up on Saturday Night Live, the American Idol finale and the BET Awards, where he won for Best Male R&B Artist. He also entertained award show revelers with a 90-minute set at the Entertainment Tonight/People party after the Emmys in August.

When not on stage, Prince released a greatest hits album, Ultimate, recorded the tune "Song of the Heart" for the Happy Feet soundtrack and signed up to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show in February.
