One day, Joss will learn NOT to put a show on Fox.

Seriously, do the execs at Fox sit around and dream up ways to screw Joss Whedon? Three of the best shows on television have actors that HE brought to mainstream via Firefly. Summer Glau (Terminator), Nathan Fillion (Castle..love it), and Eliza Dushku. Joss needs a contract that guarantees three years on air, and if they cancel before three years, he can make a movie with an unlimited budget to wrap up the remaining time on the contract. Rumor now is that Fox won't even air all of the episodes that have been filmed. But Joss gave hope that all is not lost just yet. Read on:
'They're waiting to see what happens,' he said, adding Fox has said the 'numbers have been solid and the demographic is wonderful and the DVR ratings have been great.'
'So right now I've gone from a sort of place of 'You don't even care, nobody loves me' [laughs] to a place of God, I can't believe I'm saying this ... hope.'
'We have a few more episodes coming up - whether it's 12 or 13 - they are fierce,' he added. 'They are ridiculous; I am so proud of them. We're going to go out this season with a bang, and hopefully we'll get to come back for Season 2.'
