Oh, and good luck. We're all hoping you can restore the luster of Kentucky Basketball that so-called parity in college basketball has tarnished.We'll be watching. But you should know that already. We have 24,000 people turn out for PRACTICE. And have you ever heard of people scalping tickets to a FREE EVENT? You'll have to get used to having 24,000 assistant coaches at every home game.
But if Joe B. has faith in you, then I'm willin' to buy in. Especially since you reached out to the ex-coaches for advice. That impresses me. See ya at the pep rally, Coach.
PHUSTER-UPDATE: Since I wrote that post, way back on March 31, Coach Cal has gone above and beyond to prove that he wants to be UK's coach, and that he knows exactly what that means. Billy G. bought a house out in the sticks...Cal bought a house, literally, on Main Street. Richmond Road, where he lives, go east the length of a football field, turns into Main Street. He's gone out of his way to connect with the UK fanbase. He took them BREAKFAST (McDonalds, of course) when they camped out for free tix to Big Blue Madness. And probably a thousand other things I'm too tired to think of at the moment.
This is gonna be a good year.
