30 days hath September...

But for college basketball fans, 31 is the number we like, cause that means March Madness. Ironic, though, that March Madness actually ends on the first Monday in April. Anyway....

ESPN put together a list of what they consider to be the 31 Legendary March Moments, in no particular order. Click here for the article. Our beloved
Kentucky Wildcats Made the list a grand total of three times. THREE TIMES?!?!?! And two of the mentions are in losses, with not a single mention of UK being in the championship game three years in a row. 1996, 1997 (loss to Arizona), and 1998. In case you don't know, we won the Championship in '96 and '98. And of course The Shot is in there. Anyway, check out the article, and read on for UK's mentions.

March 27, 1978: Jack Givens, Kentucky, national championship game vs. Duke

Givens carried Kentucky to a national championship with 41 points, eight rebounds and three assists. He shot 18-for-27 from the field in a 94-88 victory over Duke.

March 28, 1992: Christian Laettner, Duke, NCAA Elite Eight vs. Kentucky

Laettner had a perfect 30 points on 10-for-10 shooting from both the field and foul line, including the game-winning turnaround jumper at the buzzer to beat Kentucky and propel the defending champs to the Final Four.

March 29, 2003: Dwyane Wade, Marquette, NCAA Elite Eight vs. Kentucky

Wade helped advance Marquette into the Final Four by upsetting Kentucky with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
