First Picture of Smallville's Supergirl Released
July 20, 2007 - This morning at the TCA (Television Critics Association) Press Tour, The CW revealed the first official publicity photo of actress Laura Vandervoort in her new role on Smallville as Kara/Supergirl. Vandervoort will be joining Smallville for the show's upcoming seventh season, as Clark Kent's famous Kryptonian cousin. Warner Bros Television and the CW have sent us a copy of the photo, which we're sharing with you below (to the left actually -mutt). We're guessing the Superman symbol tag Vandervoort is wearing in the photo will not be part of her actual ensemble on the series, as it is the "Go Forward" Superman tag available through the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
If you're going to Comic-Con next week, be aware that Laura Vandervoort will be making an appearance there, speaking at a Smallville Q&A and screening on Saturday, July 28th, at 6:30. She'll be joined by Smallville executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar.
