Britney's mom sides with K-Fed over daughter
Britney Spears' mother is feuding with her troubled daughter, and she has an unlikely ally in the battle: her former son-in-law.
The tension began when Lynne Spears took the "Toxic" singer to rehab in February, according to Life & Style, which reports that the singer told her mom: "Say goodbye, mama, because this is the last time you'll ever speak to me."
Lynne Spears hoped to reconcile with her daughter on June 10 when she went to a Beverly Hills party that Britney was also attending. The singer wasn't aware that her mother would be there, however, and "she froze when she saw Lynne," an insider told L&S. "Brit was cordial, but you could've cut the tension with a knife."
Now, the only time that Lynne Spears sees her grandchildren is when Kevin Federline brings them to see her - and she keeps siding with her daughter's estranged husband on issues of custody.
"The Spears family loves Kevin; he lets them see the babies whenever he has them," an insider told the mag. A "pal" also said, "Brit's paranoid that her mom and Kevin are working to take the kids away from her."
Spears has actually contacted a lawyer to cut her mother out of her will, according to L&S. "Lynne is more hurt than anything," an insider told the mag. "She feels she sacrificed everything for Britney."
