Azubuike led the Flyers and scored 27 points or more in all three games last week, sparking the Flyers to a 2-1 record. He began the week with a game-high 31 points and five rebounds in a 117-106 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce, scored 27 and added six rebounds in a 132-122 win over Anaheim on Friday, and was the bright spot for Fort Worth in a 130-105 loss to Colorado on Saturday, posting 31 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. For the week Azubuike averaged 29.7 points and 6.0 rebounds.
A 6-5 guard from Kentucky, Azubuike is having a banner campaign in his second season with the Flyers. He currently leads the D-League in scoring (27.1 points) and minutes per game (41.9), while ranking fifth in three-point field goal percentage (27-57, .474).The Flyers have started the season with an 8-2 record and are in first place in the Eastern Division.
