(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA Police are hoping someone can expose the identity of a suspect believed to be involved in four separate flashing incidents in Philadelphia’s Art Museum District in the past month.
Avid runners who frequent the Fairmount Park area are concerned after hearing a serial flasher may be running free.
“I heard about it from someone at work who immediately thought of me because she knew that we run here often, so it’s rather disturbing and kind of unnerving,” said Rebecca Smith.
Police have stepped up their patrols of the area after the suspect was first spotted fondling himself Waterworks Drive on August 10.
Less than a week later, two witnesses reports a man his 30’s jogging down Kelly Drive with a cutout in his shorts exposing his privates.
Authorities said a young woman was robbed and fondled at gunpoint on the 2000 block of Boston Street in North Philadelphia on August 31. Several hours later, police believe the same suspect exposed himself to a woman on an elevator near 12th and Chestnut Streets.
Officials said they do not have enough of a description to form a composite sketch of the suspect. If you have any information, contact Philadelphia Police.
