Ain't if funny how time slips away.....

As the NBA playoffs prepare to get started, there's alot of talk about the Next Michael Jordan and what he's going to accomplish in his first playoff run. Just as a benchmark of what he's up against, I'd like to remind you of what he Next Magic Johnson did in his first playoff run.

Mike and his Chicago Bulls were swept by eventual NBA Champions, Boston Celtics. The Bulls roster included Michael, Charles Oakley, John Paxson, George Gervin, and Kyle Macy. The Celtics roster had names like Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge, Walton and Johnson. The memorable game in that series was Game 2, at Boston, when Air Jordan dropped 63 points on the Celtics, but Chicago still lost that game by a final of 135-131.

Tomorrow will be the twentieth anniversary of that game, and a 21 year old third year player, currently being hailed as The Next will begin his first playoff run two days after that. Mike didn't win his first series, but look what he was up against. Can LBJ start off better?
